About Me
I am active in the community as a member of the Joint Coastal Commission (appointed by Mayor, Doug Dahlgard), a Suffolk County Polling Inspector, and I work on the newly formed Tree Board where I help edit the Village Newsletter.
I am a wife, mother and recently became a grandmother. I was born in Los Angeles and graduated from UCLA. During my professional career in Southern California, I worked as a business reporter for the Los Angeles Times and a field producer for FOX News. I went on to raise my two sons in New York City where I worked for the National Geographic Society.
Over the years, my work as a print journalist, news and television producer took me all over the world. It’s that global perspective that makes me so passionate about Head of the Harbor. I’ve seen firsthand what many claim are the most beautiful places on earth and I’m convinced that Stony Brook Harbor, our tree-lined streets, and the views from Cordwood Beach Park rivals them all.
Unfortunately, it seems that some of our elected officials have forgotten that our remarkable natural resources are worth fighting for and preserving.
I’m running for Trustee to ensure that our Village is served with integrity, and the preservation of our beautiful setting and historic rustic heritage comes before special interests.
If you want to ensure the heritage of Head of the Harbor is preserved for generations to come, please vote for me on March 21st.
